Jewel DSP · License
End User License Agreement
Effective October 1, 2026
This End User License Agreement (the Agreement) is between you and Richard Cooper, operating as Jewel DSP, and applies to Jewel DSP software plugins, their documentation, presets, and included files (the Software).
By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not use the Software.
1. Your license
Jewel DSP gives you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the Software. The license is for one person and may not be shared by multiple users at the same time.
Paid plugins are activated through Jewel DSP's licensing system (Moonbase). Each license can be active on up to 5 computers at a time. To move your license to a different computer, deactivate one of the computers you no longer use, either from the plugin's Register window or from your Moonbase account page, then activate the new one. If you activated offline, only Jewel DSP can release that activation, so contact support.
Activation checks your license once. After a plugin is activated, it does not need an internet connection to keep working.
Unless a product is specifically described as a subscription or time-limited license, your license to the version you received is perpetual.
2. Your music belongs to you
You may use the Software for personal or commercial work. You may release, perform, stream, broadcast, license, and sell music or other productions made with the Software. Jewel DSP claims no ownership of anything you create with it.
Included presets and other content may be used as part of your productions, but may not be redistributed or sold by themselves.
3. Copies, modifications, and customer status
You may not share, rent, lease, sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Software or your license.
Support applies to the official, unmodified Software, and Jewel DSP may ask you to reproduce a problem with the official version before providing technical support.
Using a cracked or otherwise unlicensed copy without purchasing or otherwise receiving a valid license does not make you a Jewel DSP customer. Unlicensed users are not entitled to technical support, updates, replacement licenses, download access, upgrade pricing, account recovery, or any other customer service.
Jewel DSP keeps ownership of the Software and all intellectual-property rights in it. You receive a license to use the Software, not ownership of the Software itself.
4. Demo version
You can download paid plugins and use them for free, with no time limit, in an unregistered demo mode. The demo has limitations, for example periodic interruptions of the output, no saving of presets or project settings, and offline renders that get interrupted. Buying a license and activating the plugin removes the limitations. Free plugins do not need activation.
5. Updates, upgrades, and support
Jewel DSP may provide updates, fixes, new versions, or support, but does not promise that any particular update or service will always be available. Major upgrades or future products may be sold separately.
6. Compatibility and warranty
Computer systems, operating systems, plugin formats, and DAWs change. Jewel DSP does not promise that the Software will work with every system or host, or remain compatible with future changes made by other companies.
The Software is provided as is, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted and error-free operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jewel DSP is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the Software, including lost work, lost profits, or lost data. Jewel DSP's total liability relating to the Software will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
Nothing in this Agreement limits a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
8. Purchases through Moonbase
When you purchase through Moonbase, Moonbase is the merchant of record and handles the purchase transaction, payment, applicable taxes, and refunds under its own buyer terms. Jewel DSP licenses the Software to you and handles the Software itself.
9. Ending this license
This license ends if you materially violate this Agreement. If that happens, you must stop using the Software and delete your copies. Sections concerning ownership, warranty, and liability continue to apply.
10. Changes to this Agreement
Jewel DSP may update this Agreement for future purchases or future versions of the Software. The version that applied when you obtained your license continues to govern that license unless you agree to a newer version.
