Privacy Policy

This policy covers the jeweldsp.com website and the Jewel DSP audio plugins, made by Richard Cooper, operating as Jewel DSP. The Jewel Capture app has its own privacy policy.
The short version: Jewel DSP runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Purchases are handled by Moonbase. A paid plugin contacts Moonbase once, when you activate it, and never after that.
1. This website
Jewel DSP does not run analytics, advertising or tracking on this site, and does not set its own cookies.
The site is hosted by IONOS. Like any web host, their servers keep standard technical logs of each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security and operation.
The site's fonts and images are served from the site itself. The one outside service the pages load is Moonbase's checkout script (see section 2), so Moonbase's servers receive your IP address when you visit.
2. Buying, accounts and downloads
Purchases are handled by Moonbase (moonbase.sh), which is the merchant of record. The checkout window and the Account link on this site are provided by Moonbase. What you enter there, such as your name, email address and billing details, goes to Moonbase and its payment providers, and Moonbase's own privacy policy applies to it. Moonbase's checkout may store a small amount of data in your browser to keep your cart and account session working.
Jewel DSP receives order details from Moonbase (your name, email address and what you bought) so it can provide your license and support. Jewel DSP never receives your card details.
Free downloads and demos need no account and send nothing to Jewel DSP.
3. The plugins
When you activate a paid plugin, it sends your license key, your computer's name and an identifier made from basic details of your computer (such as the processor, memory and operating system) to Moonbase. This is how an activation is counted against your license's computer limit. It happens once, at activation; after that the plugin does not contact anyone. Offline activation is also available.
Demo and free plugins do not contact anyone. Your presets, settings and projects are saved only on your computer.
4. Email and social media
If you email Jewel DSP, your message and email address are kept so your question can be answered. Links to Instagram and other social sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
5. What Jewel DSP does not do
Jewel DSP does not sell or rent personal information, does not share it for advertising, and does not use it for anything other than your purchase, license and support.
6. Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information Jewel DSP holds about you (your emails and order records) by writing to the address below. Your purchase and account data held by Moonbase can be managed through your Moonbase account or by contacting Moonbase.
7. Children
Jewel DSP products are not directed at children, and Jewel DSP does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If anything here changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
